Actual size: 3.75” (10 cm) in diameter and 1.25” (3 cm) in height.
The box is made of paper-mache. The quality of the paper-mache is very high. It is durable and it is processed to have a smooth surface (versus "wrinkly" surface).
The flower stems of the decoration and borders are painted in genuine liquid bronze, which makes the colors more vivid. This is the last touch that's added to the box before covering it with several layers of lacquer for protection.

The package has arrived in Mt Macedon - it was here when we returned from North-west China a couple of days ago. I am very pleased with the fabric - the colour is most beautiful and the moire pattern in the weaving is also stunning. I shall most certainly be ordering more! The colours are perfect with my antique carpets - old Central Asian and Afghan carpets and rugs.
