Mulberry green hand painted jewelry box

This jewelry storage box is made of paper-mache, which is durable and is processed to have a smooth surface (versus "wrinkly" surface). The jewelry box was hand painted and covered with several layers of lacquer for protection. The golden central rectangle was created laying a thin layer of golden foil and painting over it.

The jewelry box is signed and dated by the artist, Koshib Omonov. The flower stems of the decoration are painted in genuine liquid bronze, which makes the colors more vivid. This was the last touch that's added to the box before covering it with several layers of lacquer for protection.
