"Fuchsia" velvet ikat fabric

This is the most luxurious of ikat fabrics - ikat velvet. Secrets of making Ikat velvet were lost during the Soviet days when luxury fabrics such as this were considered unnecessary for an in average poor population of the USSR. Those secrets was revived in 1990s by Rasul Mirzaakhmedov, the 5th generation ikat artisan from Margilan, Uzbekistan.
