"A new day, a new beginning" solid silk scarf

Hand dyed and hand woven in Fergana Valley of Uzbekistan, this scarf has a "chameleon" effect which was created by using different color warp and weft yarn. In this case, the effect was creating using yellow and white silk yarn. The silk has a property of changing its color depending on an angle of view. So, the properties of the silk and a use of different warp and weft yarn creates a beautiful play of hues of off-white and warm yellow.
