A very traditional pattern for Central Asian ikat fabics - intricate, sophisticated and very rich in colors. This pattern is considered to be rather complex. from the count of different colors it is clear that the fabric as tied and died at least 5 times to create such a colorful and detailed pattern.
This is a washable ikat fabric, however, please be aware that once the fabric is washed it will lose its stiffness and shape. You can read more about caring for ikat fabrics at this link.
As all hand-woven and hand-dyed ikat fabrics, this fabric is narrow - the width is limited by the width of a hand loom.
