Our collection of suzani embroidered pillow covers includes hand embroidered suzani pillow covers as well as machine embroidered ones. The base fabric of each suzani pillow cover is an undyed cotton cloth. Embroidery threads are hand dyed silk floss.
The term suzani derives from a Farsi word for a needle, ‘suzan”. According to Uzbek traditions girls learnt an art of suzani embroidery from an early age and embroidered various things for their dowries. These embroidered pieces were bedcovers, pillow covers and various other textile items. Soul finds its reflection in a work that the soul makes. This is why, one could read a character of a girl by inspecting her suzani. Is she joyous? is she peaceful? Does she pay attention to details?
Please also check out our Suzani embroidery section for some suzani table runners and suzani tableclothes.

Our batik silk scarves are works of art. We mean it. Each and every one of these scarves was hand painted by an artist who signed in a corner of each batik silk scarf. These batik scarves are made of 100% sheer silk made in Uzbekistan.
These silk scarves are elegant and timeless fashion accessories. They can be worn as silk neck scarves, head scarves or shawls.
Pomegranates have a very special symbolic meaning and have their own place in Uzbek art. They are a symbol of abundance, fertility and growth. Pomegranates represents things moving forward, fresh starts and new beginnings.
