Our collection of suzani embroidered pillow covers includes hand embroidered suzani pillow covers as well as machine embroidered ones. The base fabric of each suzani pillow cover is an undyed cotton cloth. Embroidery threads are hand dyed silk floss.
The term suzani derives from a Farsi word for a needle, ‘suzan”. According to Uzbek traditions girls learnt an art of suzani embroidery from an early age and embroidered various things for their dowries. These embroidered pieces were bedcovers, pillow covers and various other textile items. Soul finds its reflection in a work that the soul makes. This is why, one could read a character of a girl by inspecting her suzani. Is she joyous? is she peaceful? Does she pay attention to details?

"Beige" boudoir ikat pillow cover (organic dyes)
The front of the pillow cover is made of a hand-dyed and hand-woven ikat fabric. For the back we used a solid hand-woven ikat fabric. The cover closes with an invisible zipper on a side and fits standard 12" x 16" pillow inserts. The fabric have a beautiful moire pattern.
Boudoir size pillow cover made of our hand dyed with organic dyes and hand loom woven "Beige" ikat fabric. For this cover we used a combination of ikat and solid fabrics. All fabrics are hand loom woven and have a beautiful moire pattern. The cover closes with an invisible zipper on a side and fits standard 12" x 16" pillow inserts.
