Floral white pink green hand embroidered suzani pillow cover from Uzbekistan

Our collection of suzani embroidered pillow covers includes hand embroidered suzani pillow covers as well as machine embroidered ones. The base fabric of each suzani pillow cover is an undyed cotton cloth. Embroidery threads are hand dyed silk floss.

The term suzani derives from a Farsi word for a needle, ‘suzan”. According to Uzbek traditions girls learnt an art of suzani embroidery from an early age and embroidered various things for their dowries. These embroidered pieces were bedcovers, pillow covers and various other textile items. Soul finds its reflection in a work that the soul makes. This is why, one could read a character of a girl by inspecting her suzani. Is she joyous? is she peaceful? Does she pay attention to details?

Please also check out our Suzani embroidery section for some suzani table runners and suzani tableclothes.

Ever Worn a Piece of History? This ikat cotton scarf isn’t just another accessory—it’s a glimpse into Uzbekistan’s rich textile heritage and how traditions evolved with time. The bold patterns and vibrant colors showcase classic ikat artistry, while modern machine weaving makes it more accessible than ever.
When Uzbekistan became part of the USSR, handwoven fabrics alone couldn’t keep up with the needs of a growing population. Machine weaving stepped in, blending tradition with industrial efficiency. This scarf carries that history, combining the beauty of ikat with the practicality of modern craftsmanship.
Made from soft, breathable Uzbek cotton, it’s lightweight and easy to wear year-round. The signature ikat pattern—featuring flame-like teardrops in purple, blue, yellow, and black—stands out against a light gray background. With its slightly blurred edges and delicate fringed ends, it has just the right mix of artistry and everyday charm.
Wear it how you like—wrapped around your neck, draped over your shoulders, or even tied to your bag for a pop of color. Whether you’re dressing up or keeping it casual, this scarf brings a unique touch to any outfit.
Ready to make it yours? Grab one today and wear a little piece of history!
