"Gilded" jewelry box

This is a small size jewelry box perfect for a night stand to store your jewelry overnight.

The box is made of paper-mache, which is durable and is processed to have a smooth surface (versus "wrinkly" surface). The box was hand painted and covered with several layers of lacquer for protection. The golden part is made of a thin golden foil laid on top of the box and then painted on top of it.
